I’m Susan Winkeler, an authorized wedding officiant for Virginia. I was appointed as a marriage commissioner (formerly justice of the peace) by the Winchester, VA circuit court. I perform reasonably-priced elopement, wedding, and vow renewal ceremonies anywhere the state, especially Winchester, Frederick County, the Shenandoah Valley and Northern Virginia. Couple-Only Elopements

These special offers are for marrying couple who are not bringing additional people with them. If you’re having friends or family members witness your vows, please see the Wedding Ceremonies section that follows.

$75.00 Couple-Only Courthouse Elopement: If you only want a fast, no-fuss, no-frills ceremony, you can elope at the Winchester/Frederick County Joint Judicial Center. I perform simple, legal marriage vows in the courthouse lobby on the same day you get your marriage license – no guests or photographs permitted, no private rooms available.

$100.00 Nancy Shepherd House Inn Couple-Only Elopement: If you would like a quick ceremony with some privacy, you can get married at the Nancy Shepherd House, a quaint, rustic inn (formerly a 1700’s tavern) just six blocks from the courthouse. During your ten minutes on site, I perform simple, legal wedding vows. After the ceremony, I return your signed marriage license to the issuing clerk’s office.

$120.00 Fuller House Inn Couple-Only Elopement: If you’re looking for a grand, historic home experience, you can get married in one of the Fuller House Inn’s elegant rooms surrounded by fine art and antiques, in the wedding chapel or in the enchanting garden. You pick your setting. I perform simple, legal marriage vows during your twenty minutes on site. I then return your signed marriage license to the issuing clerk’s office.

$299.00 Fuller House Inn Cottage Elopement Package: With this package, you not only have a beautiful in-town mansion as the setting for your ceremony, you also spend the night in the luxurious Fuller House Cottage, located in the garden behind the Main House. After you check in and freshen up, I can officiate your wedding ceremony. You can then walk to the heart of Old Town Winchester to explore and enjoy a romantic dinner with your new spouse. The center of Old Town is only 2-1/2 blocks away!

Wedding Ceremonies at the Fuller House Inn

The Fuller House Inn, one of Winchester, Virginia’s historic gems, is the ideal setting for a small, intimate wedding with fewer than 50 people. With the options below, you have time for your ceremony, photographs and socializing with your guests. Choose the garden, the wedding chapel or one of the other formal rooms for your setting. I will perform simple, legal marriage vows or your own personalized vows. Afterwards, I will sign and return your marriage documents to the issuing clerk’s office.

Basic Wedding Ceremony: $165.00 plus $10.00/each person of any age in attendance for 30 minutes on site.

Traditional Wedding Ceremony: Save $50.00 – $250.00 plus $10.00/each person of any age in attendance for 60 minutes on site.

Custom Wedding Ceremony and/or Reception: Custom event pricing will apply. I’ll be happy to discuss your needs and provide you with an estimate for your ceremony.
